Our events from Friday 27th – Sunday 29th September 2024 will include live draws, interviews, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, book launches, Little LICAF activities, a Comics Marketplace, our new International Comics Rights Market – and provide a chance to get up close to the best comic creators in the world!


Windows on Comic Art featuring From Ink to Action

The ever-popular Windows on Comic Art Trail returned to Bowness from last year... In partnership with the British Council, LICAF proudly presents From Ink to Action, featuring 12 talented artists from the MENA region, here's what we brought to Bowness-on-Windermere...

Dickie and the Quest for the Windermere Ghost!

Suitable for all ages, families, with a route accessible to wheelchair users, you can start your Dickie Geocache Adventure from Bowness Visitor Information Centre, then head to pyts.link and enter the game code KIXG to start!

Sophie Castille Prize for Comics in Translation

The Sophie Castille Awards for Comics in Translation are for the best translation of graphic novels into a variety of languages. The inaugural award, created in honour of Sophie Castille, will be for the best translation of a non-English graphic novel into English.

For curious comic art creatives Make Mine Manga is a FREE exhibition touring North West libraries until May 2024! Exploring the origins of manga in Japan, creative techniques and the wonder of Manga-Anime.
