
Gustavo Duarte
Gustavo graduated in Graphic Design from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp - Bauru) in 1999.
He started his cartoonist and illustrator career, publishing his works at the newspaper Diário de Bauru, between 1997 and 1999.
In January of 2000, he came back to São Paulo and since then collaborated with the main magazines and newspapers in Brazil, including Lance! and Folha de S. Paulo, where he published regularly for over ten years.
Since 2009, Gustavo has worked on comics as both writer and artist, with books like “Có!”, “Taxi”, “Birds” and “Monsters”.
His books are published in Brazil, USA, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
Besides his own books, in the USA he works for publishers like DC Comics, Marvel, and Dark Horse, amongst others.
“DC Silent Tales”, “Bizarro”, “Dear Justice League”, “Dear DC Super-Villains”, “Spider-Verse - Unlimited”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” and “Lockjaw” are some of his works for DC Comics and Marvel.
