Old Laundry Theatre
Saturday 28 September
1.00pm - 2.00pm
Lord of the Flies is a publishing phenomenon, known and loved throughout the world. It’s been adapted for film twice, and also for the theatre. Now, precisely 70 years after Golding’s novel burst onto the scene, it has finally been turned into a graphic novel. And it’s being launched at LICAF. Come and meet the artist/adapter Aimée de Jongh, watch her recreate some of the novel’s scenes with art drawn live on stage, and discover what are the pitfalls and privileges of adapting one of the world’s most significant modern novels. Plus, you can be amongst the first to own a copy.
