The Lakes International Comic Art Festival is the only event of its kind in UK, it covers all kinds of comic art with the main programme featuring more than 50 of different kinds of event, including films, a free Family Zone, free Comics Clock Tower, free exhibitions, a fringe element… and more!

The Windows on Comic Art Trail is a unique art trail, displayed in business windows across the town. It provides a fabulous opportunity for the town to get behind the festival and for a wide range of artists to get involved. It also provides visitors with a brilliant way to explore the town. Thousands see the Windows Trail each year and hundreds vote in the Peoples Vote for the Favourite Window.

You can view all the Windows in the 2016 Trail here on the Festival’s Flickr pages

All the artists involved, whether from local community groups or schools right through to professional artists, take their own approach to their individual windows. They are encouraged to reflect both their own work and the business that’s hosting them.

“Thousands see the Windows Trail each year and hundreds vote in the Peoples Vote for the Favourite Window,” enthuses organiser Sandra Wood.

If you would like to cast a vote, please download and print out your Windows Trail Vote Slip (PDF link).

The boxed to post them in can be found at the Brewery Arts Centre Box Office and at the Comics Clock Tower over the weekend of the festival. Make sure your vote goes in the box by Monday 17th October when voting closes!
