Meet the writer behind Resident Alien, a comic series that stars possibly the most human intergalactic visitor ever: an alien who solves murders in his spare time.
Sunday 1 October
Old Laundry Theatre
Noon-1.00pm
Writer Peter Hogan has been at the forefront of British comics since the 1980s, as editor of CRISIS and the short-lived but much-missed REVOLVER. Now, he joins us to talk about how he and Steve Parkhouse created Resident Alien, a project they have been working on since 2011.
Brilliantly written and superlatively drawn, it’s been adapted into a smash-hit TV show.
Find out what they transformed in it (and why) for television and Peter's career in comics on both sides of the Atlantic, working with creators that include Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore.
Hosted by John Freeman.
PLEASE NOTE: Regrettably, Steve and Annie Parkhouse, who were scheduled to appear, have had to withdraw from the festival for reasons of ill health.
