This week, Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast talk to busy creators Jonathan Edwards and the Felt Mistress about their brand new exhibition Archipelagogo - which has just opened at the Wildman Gallery in Kendal, ahead of the start of Festival (13th - 15th October).
Ian and Nikki were lucky enough to visit the opening of the event and talk about that on the Podcast, too.
The "main feature" of this episode is an interview with The Facts of Life creator Paula Knight, who discusses the book and her life. It's a really interesting chat (as we expected after receiving her thoughtful answers to our questions for our own "Kendal Calling" series) and we can’t wait to see her again in person at the Festival.
The Podcast team also review Emma Vieceli's Breaks comic (now collected by Soaring Penguin Press), talk to Gina and Victory Children and preview the festival broadsheet comic The Spirit put together by Sean Phillips with involvement from a host of comic artists and writers. We also give our thoughts on Star Trek Discovery.
Mike talks all about the League of Extraordinary Gentleman (this was meant to be on a previous episode but Ian messed it up) and Pete Taylor, one of the team behind Copperopolis, continues his look at Jack Kirby.
