Latest Podcast reveals about Breakthrough project

On the latest episode of the Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast, editor and publisher Tim Pilcher talks about the new, recently launched Breakthrough project, aimed at encouraging new and upcoming comics talent.

Tim is running Breakthrough for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival through 2019 and into 2020 resulting in the opportunity for new creators to have work published in an anthology.

Hosts Ian Loxam and Nikki Bates also review Guantanamo Kid by Jerome Tubiana and Alkexadre Franc plus Sparks and the Fallen Star by Lyndon White.

They also look at a huge range of Kickstarters currently running and the team look at previous Festival guests the Etherington Brothers How to Think When You Draw 2, Jens K Styve's Dunce #5, Dave Cook's Killtopia #2, the Mad Robot Comics project Frank At Home on the Farm, the Little Heroes Anthology #3 and Lyndon White's concrrtina book of War of the Worlds.

Finally, there's some Festival and podcast news about a new contributor. Tom Stewart from the That Comic Smell podcast will be joining the team and looking at small press comics in future episodes.
