Mark Hibbett
By day, Mark Hibbett is the mild-mannered Head of Research Information Systems at University of the Arts London. He is the world's leading (and only) academic expert on Doctor Doom, with multiple academic publications including the book Data and Doctor Doom: An Empirical Approach To Transmedia Characters published by Palgrave in 2024. He has also written about superheroes for the Radio Times.
By night, he is indie-pop legend MJ Hibbett. He's played over a thousand gigs, released one of the first viral hits ('Hey Hey 16K'), performed live on Radio One, had a Record Of The Year in Rolling Stone, an Album Of The Day on 6Music, and written and performed seven Fringe shows. He likes to keep busy.
