Terry Anderson
Terry Anderson is the Executive Director of Cartoonists Rights, a US-based human rights nonprofit founded in 1999 and concerned with the freedom of expression of cartoonists variously abused, criminalised, displaced, and threatened because of what they draw.
In 2019 the organisation was made an Index on Censorship Freedom of Expression Awards Fellow in recognition of their campaigning. In 2022 Terry received the Prix Gérard Vandenbroucke at the Salon International de la Caricature, du Dessin de Presse et d’Humour, Europe’s largest festival of editorial cartooning.
He's a past president of the Scottish Artists Union and coordinator at the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio, known for their Fizzers® caricatures. Prior cartooning credits include work for DC Thomson, The Glasgow Herald, and ScotsHoose Yaldi.
