This year, the Windows on Art Trail has made an incredible impact across Kendal, involving over 100 local business, clubs and schools and artists.

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival Team want to thank everyone involved for their efforts and creative input making the trail the most successful one yet.

Selside School and Cambian Whinfell School win a selection of comics and books and Sean Collins wins vouchers to spend in Iridium.

The Windows on Comic Art Trail is funded by Kendal BID businesses, supported by Russell Armer and Kendal Leisure Centre. Iridium have generously donated a prize for the Best Window.

The Windows on Comic Art Trail provides a fabulous opportunity for Kendal to get behind the festival and for a wide range of artists to get involved. It also provides visitors with a brilliant way to explore the town, with thousands enjoying the Windows Trail each year and taking part in the hugely popular Peoples Vote for their Favourite Window.

All the artists involved, whether from local community groups or schools right through to professional artists, take their own approach to their individual windows.

The Windows on Comic Art Trail, supported by Kendal Business Improvement District, is a unique art trail crated specially for the festival and displayed in business windows across Kendal. It is at the heart of the festival because it involves Kendal’s businesses and artists and it’s the perfect opportunity for the town’s businesses to get involved in the festival and it provides visitors with a brilliant way to explore the town.
