Constrain Climate Comics tackle big questions facing our planet’s future

The worlds of research, science and comics have been brought together to deliver a powerful message about climate change. 

Three leading comic creators – award-winning comic creator Darryl Cunningham, satirical comic creators War and Peas from Germany, and comic creator, academic and illustrator Sayra Begum – have collaborated with the CONSTRAIN project, a consortium of fourteen European partners, tasked with improving near-term climate projections, to develop comics exploring the climate change challenge. 

Lucie Arnoux and Nicolas Wild lead Drink & Draw at the Institut français next week

Ahead of their participation in the Lakes International Comic Art Festival, the Institut français in London has organised a Drink & Draw session with French illustrators Lucie Arnoux and Nicolas Wildnext week, on Thursday 28th September

This is an occasion to share a drink and exchange with illustrators that are making an impact on the French comics scene today, while creating art together during a special drawing class.

Exhibitions galore at this year’s Lakes International Comic Art Festival

We're delighted to confirm our exhibition plans for this year’s Festival (Friday 29th September – Sunday 1st October 2023) in Bowness-on-Windermere – and announced some guest changes and additions to the previously announced line-up of over sixty international comic creators, including an appearance by Jenny Ryan from ITV’s The Chase.

Lakes International Comic Art Festival offers stellar lineup

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival will be held in Bowness-on-Windermere, within the heart of the Lake District National Park from Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October – and there’s a lot of excitement building for this year’s event, from fans, exhibitors and guests alike.

The weekend festival celebrates the amazing world of comic artists, creators and writers and brings together the biggest names and the rising stars of the comic art universe.

Philippine International Comics Festival returns in September, online and free
