Responding to the uncertain times we are in as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Lakes International Comic Art Festival has confirmed it is still working on its plans to bring comic fans of all ages a weekend of comic fun to Kendal this October.

Should the Festival be cancelled for any reason, ticket monies will be refunded, as will any booking fees by creators for tables in the Comics Clock Tower.

As part of a wider package of support for the creative industries in the UK, the Arts Council has announced they are making £20 million available to individuals working in the cultural sector, including artists, creative practitioners and freelancers.

Responding to the Coronavirus Pandemic with some light relief in the form of something creative, comic creator and regular Lakes International Comic Art Festival guest Marc Jackson has decided to set up a free online service offering cartoon art workshops and activities for families on YouTube, joining many other creators such as Sarah McIntyre and Tom Sparke, who are also providing safe drawing fun for kids online.
