Inspired by the publication of Lancaster University’s Things & the Mind, the first interactive digital comic supporting student mental health, this bundle of resources aims to offer teachers practical help as to how comics and visual communication can support the wellbeing of 6th Form and higher/further education students.

He started his career in the video game industry in 2008, and worked since then as a digital artist, illustrator, graphic designer and street artist. In addition to his commissioned work (murals,comics, posters, illustrations, animation), the award-winning artist (creative of the year 2015 on the Maroc Web Awards) is known for his contribution and involvement on Moroccan comic art scene, as a founding member of Skefkef, the first Moroccan independent comics magazine written in darija.

Learning with Comics and World War One stories

A free joint online talk by Dr Natasa Lackovic, organised by Lancaster City Museum and Lancaster University, aims to challenge participants understanding of war and comics, coming up on Thursday 28th April 2022.

Mini Comics Festival Fun at Abraham Moss Community School!

On the afternoon of Tuesday 15th March 2022, class 4 Yellow at Abraham Moss Community School hosted their first ever Comic Art Festival. 

A year or so earlier the vast majority of the class had never read a comic, but after plenty of input from Little LICAF, workshops from comic artists Marc Jackson, Rachael Smith, Sayra Begum and Matt Smith, a kindly donated subscription from The Phoenix comic, and support from teachers, the children were ready to share their work.

Kugali Media lend support to Comic Art Europe literacy project

The ongoing Comic Art Europe research project into Comics Literacy, working with pupils from Manchester’s Abraham Moss Community Primary School, is proceeding apace, with support from a huge number of comic creators and publishers.
