Lakes International Comic Art Festival offers stellar lineup

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival will be held in Bowness-on-Windermere, within the heart of the Lake District National Park from Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October – and there’s a lot of excitement building for this year’s event, from fans, exhibitors and guests alike.

The weekend festival celebrates the amazing world of comic artists, creators and writers and brings together the biggest names and the rising stars of the comic art universe.

We're delighted to announce comic artist and writer Dave Gibbons (2000ADThe OriginalsWatchmen) as a guest at this year’s weekend-long event (Friday 29th September – Sunday 1st October 2023).

Dave is one of the final tranche of Festival guests to be announced, joining an impressive roster of international comics talent and creatives in Bowness-on-Windermere this autumn.

Amy Chu joins Lakes International Comic Art Festival line-up

We're delighted to announce that DC Comics, Marvel and Netflix writer Amy Chu will be joining the line-up for our weekend-long annual event in Bowness-on-Windermere (Friday 29th September – Sunday 1st October 2023).

Amy, a graduate of the Harvard Business School, with a degree in Architectural Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a degree in East Asian Studies at Wellesley College, self-published her first story at the age of 44, and has been full-time writing stories since. 

Animation director Kevin Eric Raymundo and more join Festival lineup

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival is delighted to confirm further comic creators from around the globe for this year’s annual event in Bowness-on-Windermere  (29th September – 1st October 2023), including French artist Lucie Arnoux, animation director and comic artist Kevin Eric Raymundo, and multi-media artist Eldo Yoshimizu.

VIP Brands Ltd., a company offering rights representation for comics and graphic novel publishers, and the Lakes International Comic Art Festival have announced the shortlist of titles for the inaugural Sophie Castille Awards for Comics in Translation.
