Writer Ian Rankin, poet Simon Armitage and the UK’s Comics Laureate Charlie Adlard are amongst the creators to collaborate on new First World War educational resources, based on the ambitious comic anthology ‘Traces of the Great War.
“Traces of the Great War” is a remarkable collection of thought provoking graphic narratives, by internationally acclaimed comic book artists, graphic novelists and writers, which explores the continued relevance and resonance of the First World War and its aftermath in our lives today.

Lakes Festival Comics Clock Tower - Have You Applied?
Applications are being invited from exhibitors who would like to feature in the Comics Clock Tower at the 2019 Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal, Cumbria – the seventh annual gathering of comics creators and fans, taking over the whole town with events, workshops, free stuff, film screenings – and Smurfs!
This year’s festival will run from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 October with the Comics Clock Tower open for business as usual on the Saturday and Sunday.
